Semester Enrollment | Module booking

Enrollment | Matriculation

Matriculation is the process of registering as a student at the beginning of a course and is therefore compulsory in order to be able to study at the University of Zurich. The Application and Admission can be completed only via  online form.

Please refer to the respective application deadlines (link).

Deadline for matriculation for persons with Swiss qualifications, who do not need a visum for studying in Switzerland:

Fall semester:                  30 April
Spring Semester:            30 November

Semester enrollment

The regular semester enrollment for the next semester happens automatically (data can be checked in the student portal). A change of degree programme and/or study programme must be applied for via the student portal.

Deadlines for change and data check:
Fall semester:               15 May - 31 May
Spring semester:          15 November -30 November

Modul booking

The module booking takes place online. As long as there are no other dates mentioned the following deadlines are valid for booking and  cancellation of booking, respectively:

Fall Semester 2023:               Booking till: 10.10.2023
                                              Cancellation till: 21.11.2023

Spring Semester 2024:           Booking till: 12.03.2024
                                                Cancellation till: 23.04.2024

Different registration and deregistragion deadlines for pracical courses:

Practical courses (Praktikumsmodule) must be booked online before the start of the semester. The deadlines for enrolment can be found in the course catalog for the relevant modules.

 

Summary of Courses and Credits

The summary of credited courses and  of all your modules-in-progress at the University of Zurich and previous institutions can be accessed any time via   Summary of credits.
