  • Bogdan Dereka receives an ERC starting grant

    Bogdan Dereka, SNSF Ambizione Fellow in the group of Peter Hamm, receives an ERC starting grant for his project: Electric field effects in chemistry and catalysis. The European Research Council supports with these grants excellent early career researchers. The backing will help researchers at the beginning of their careers to launch their own projects, build research teams and pursue their most promising ideas.
    The success rate of submitted proposals was 12%. Congratulation to Bogdan!
  • Fabrizio Creazzo receives the Holcim-Stiftung Grant

    Fabrizio Creazzo, postdoc in the Luber Group receives the Holcim Stiftung Grant. The "Holcim Stiftung" was established in 1962 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Cementfabrik "Holderbank". The Foundation's purpose is to promote young scientists.
    In particular, the Foundation promotes projects which young researchers with a higher educational background undertake to obtain further qualifications in their discipline with a view to satisfying the conditions for an academic or professional appointment.
  • Givaudan Karrer Lecture 2025

    The Givaudan-Karrer Lecture series was established in 2005. Each year, a distinguished Givaudan-Karrer visiting Professor visits the University of Zurich, and presents a short special topics course to the graduate students as well as a research lecture at Givaudan.

    The Givaudan-Karrer visiting Professor of 2025 is Prof. Dr. Sarah Reisman from the California Institute of Technology, USA.
