Chemical Landmark - Picture Gallery of the ceremonial act on September 9, 2016

The ceremony for the Chemical Landmark took place in the famous Calatrava library at Rämistrasse 76.
Prof. Karl Gademann, director of the Department of Chemistry, welcomed all the guests.
The rektor of UZH, Prof. Michael Hengartner, spoke the opening address.
Prof. Christian Bochet from the University of Fribourg was the representative of the Chemistry Platform of scnat.
Prof. Cristina Nevado, who took the initiative for the Chemical Landmark at UZH, held the laudatio.
Dr. Roland Kunz presented interesting facts about the history of the building.
Prof. Roland Sigel focused on the importance of a new building for the department of chemistry.
Stephan Borger, coordinator of the new chemistry building UZI5, explained the advantages of the new infrastructure.
The big moment, the plaque was revealed and....
.... admired by the hosts and guests.
The plaque reminds the visitors of the building of its history.
The plaque on the fence of Rämistrasse 76.
Armin Guggisberg from the Department of Chemistry, helped with questions regarding history.
Dr. Leo Merz, chairperson of the Platform Chemistry of scnat.
The event was passed pleasently with an apéro.
